Pultrusion
Pultrusion is used to manufacture structural shapes in a continual process.
Continuous filament or strand of fibres are dipped into resins and then pulled through a shaped heated mould (or die).
The heat of the mould cures the laminate as it goes through.
Advantages of the method:
- High cadence and productivity,
- Both sides will be smooth,
- The thickness of the parts produced will be even.
